Prevenção e combate à violência contra mulheres na Escola Municipal de Educação Básica José de Sena Filho: perspectivas e ações

Resumo

RESUMO: A violência contra a mulher é uma grave violação dos direitos humanos, sustentada por desigualdades de gênero e estruturas patriarcais presentes na sociedade. Nesse contexto, a escola desempenha papel fundamental na prevenção e no combate a essa problemática, atuando como espaço de formação cidadã, promoção da igualdade e fortalecimento da cultura de paz. Na Escola Municipal de Educação Básica José de Sena Filho, discutir o tema é essencial para proteger a comunidade escolar, identificar situações de vulnerabilidade e contribuir para a formação de estudantes conscientes e comprometidos com o respeito aos direitos humanos. Esta pesquisa busca investigar as  perspectivas e ações de prevenção e combate à violência contra as mulheres desenvolvidas na instituição. Parte-se da hipótese de que a implementação de oficinas temáticas contínuas e a criação de um protocolo de acolhimento institucional podem reduzir a naturalização de comportamentos agressivos e fortalecer a rede de proteção às alunas, promovendo um ambiente escolar mais seguro e igualitário. A relevância do estudo está na necessidade de desconstruir estereótipos de gênero, prevenir ciclos de violência e fortalecer a educação como instrumento de transformação social. A escola, além de promover o aprendizado, deve contribuir para o desenvolvimento de valores como respeito, empatia e equidade, auxiliando estudantes a reconhecer situações de violência e a buscar apoio quando necessário. A fundamentação teórica apoia-se em autores que discutem as relações de gênero e o papel da educação na transformação social. Para Scott (1995), o gênero constitui uma forma de organização das relações de poder. Já Freire (1996) destaca a educação como instrumento capaz de questionar e transformar realidades sociais. Complementando essa perspectiva, Dias (2019) ressalta que a Lei Maria da Penha representa um marco legal que atribui à escola a responsabilidade de promover ações educativas voltadas à prevenção da violência e à construção de uma cultura de paz. Dessa forma, espera-se que os resultados da pesquisa contribuam para o fortalecimento das práticas de acolhimento, prevenção e proteção na Escola José de Sena Filho, podendo servir de referência para outras instituições da rede municipal de ensino.

ABSTRACT: Violence against women is a serious human rights violation, underpinned by gender inequalities and patriarchal structures within society. In this context, schools play a fundamental role in preventing and combating this issue, acting as spaces for civic education, the promotion of equality, and the strengthening of a culture of peace. At the José de Sena Filho Municipal Basic Education School, discussing this topic is essential to protect the school community, identify situations of vulnerability, and contribute to shaping students who are conscious of and committed to respecting human rights. This research aims to investigate the perspectives and actions regarding the prevention of and fight against violence against women implemented at the institution. It is hypothesized that the implementation of ongoing thematic workshops and the creation of an institutional support protocol can reduce the normalization of aggressive behaviors and strengthen the protection network for female students, thereby fostering a safer and more egalitarian school environment. The study’s relevance lies in the need to deconstruct gender stereotypes, prevent cycles of violence, and reinforce education as a tool for social transformation. Beyond fostering learning, schools must contribute to developing values ​​such as respect, empathy, and equity, helping students recognize situations of violence and seek support when necessary. The theoretical framework draws on authors who discuss gender relations and the role of education in social transformation. Scott (1995) posits that gender constitutes a form of organizing power relations. Meanwhile, Freire (1996) highlights education as a tool capable of questioning and transforming social realities. Complementing this perspective, Dias (2019) emphasizes that the Maria da Penha Law represents a legal milestone that assigns schools the responsibility of promoting educational initiatives aimed at preventing violence and building a culture of peace. Thus, the research findings are expected to contribute to strengthening support, prevention, and protection practices at the José de Sena Filho School, potentially serving as a reference for other institutions within the municipal school system.
