We emphasize the fundamental importance of approaching indigenous peoples in Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations, in the recognition of the rights of sociodiversities existing in our country. We are called to contribute to the construction of a fair, solidary and prural society, and in the current political moment, given the widely denounced structural racism, with the various forms of prejudice and discrimination, it is urgent and necessary to guarantee social achievements in the Federal Constitution approved in 1988, as well as public policies in subsequent legislation. From a critical approach to teaching, emphasizing the present, sociodiversity and participation of indigenous peoples in historical processes in the history of Brazil, contributing to an understanding of the roles of indigenous peoples in historical (dis)continuities.
