Indigenous in urban contexts and the teaching of indigenous themes in History in public municipal schools in Cabo de Santo Agostinho/PE

We seek to understand, based on Law no. 11645/2008 and CNE Opinion 14/2015, how indigenous themes are addressed in the teaching of History in the municipal public network in Cabo de Santo Agostinho-PE, in a brief analysis about information about indigenous people students in the aforementioned municipality, based on the municipal school census, dialoguing with studies discussing the presence of indigenous people in urban contexts in Brazil. And an assessment of how indigenous themes are addressed in the Curricular Organizer by Didactic Unit and in the teaching material relating to municipal history used in the aforementioned education network in the final years of Elementary School.
