This article presents results of research focused on the use of recreational games in indigenous school education, focusing on an Indigenous State School in Alagoas. In this sense, consider the following question: what factors contribute to traditional games in the interior of Alagoas being playful in School Education? To answer the question, the objective proposes to analyze how the playful practice of games in indigenous school education in the interior of Alagoas can promote learning that respects and values indigenous knowledge. As a theoretical reference, we address fundamental studies such as: Militão (2022), Brasil (1996; 2008; 2015), Júnior et al. (2023) and among others. To this end, we carried out field research with a qualitative approach (Gil, 2008; Minayo, 2000), based on interviews with teachers and community members, between the 26th and 29th of August 2024. The results indicate that the Traditional community games emerge as important recreational practices used in the classroom by Early Childhood Education teachers. And, specifically, note the recognition of the practice to strengthen the transmission of the community's cultural traditions.
